John Lemus is from Spokane Washington. He is a Professional Development Speaker And Advocate for persons with disabilities. John has spoken on disability and non-disability issues alike for four years, lecturing to groups as large as five hundred people.

Abilities Consulting was created for two reasons:

1. To educate and empower people with disabilities to reach their full potential and be all that they can be.

2. To educate the communities in which we live about the inclusion and community acceptance of people with disabilities.

It is my belief that people with disabilities should be able to live life they way they would like to. I have made it my goal, by starting Abilities Consulting to help people with disabilities do just that! I am a person with a Developmental Disability who has been around the block a few times. I am committed to helping people with disabilities learn how to be their own advocate and to fight for what they want in life. After all they are their own experts and no one else knows what they want more than they do!

This year i am just getting Abilities Consulting off the ground! I also work full time at The Arc of Spokane County under the AmeriCorps project as their Self Advocacy Coordinator. Through 2007-2008 to help spread the word about Abilities Consulting I will be available locally for presentations at no charge, for requests that require travel I only ask that travel expenses are paid.
